According to the squadron’s ORB, Two Meteor Mk.7s and four pilots were at Ta Qali, “at the beginning of August” awaiting the arrival of the squadron on the 4th. The two Mk.7s departed “at the end of the first week”. Summer camp was meant to have been held between 04-19 August. |

Based at Ringway. The squadron departed for RAF North Weald on the 25th. One aircraft arrived on the 29th having been stranded at Istres with technical problems.
Apart from participating in air-to-air gunnery, the squadron also had a role in the annual Air Defence exercise of Malta (DMX).
