Armament Practice Camps

More common exercises were the armamemnt practice Camps or ACPs. This would involve (at least in later years) the shooting of coloured cannon shells at a target towed by a 100 squadron Canberra. Additionally, Shackleton AEW would arrive mid-way through the fighter squadrons’ stay, conducting air intercept work for the benefit of the air controllers on board the Shackleton.
