The original six-day visit was cut down to three. Although there were no official reasons given, it is probably thought this may have had something to do with the Bosnian war then ranging in the former Yugoslavia.

14 – 17 March 2008

The Nassau was accompanied by the guided missile destroyer the USS John L. Hall. In April, the ship participated in exercise Phoenix Express 2008, a US-hosted multinational exercise designed to strengthen regional maritime partnerships and foster the ability to operate jointly.
